The Wright Flyer (also known as the Flyer 1 or 1903 Flyer) is the world's first sucessful powered aircraft. Designed and built by the Wright Brothers, it flew 4 times on December 17 1903, near Kill Devil Hills, Kitty Hawk North Carolina, United States. Currently, the Flyer is preserved and exhibited at the National Air and Space Museum at Washington D.C.
